TABLAO: ADVANCED BEGINNER

Solve your problems and find solutions for improvising Flamenco!

35 US dollars
West 43rd Street

Service Description

This class is to answer your questions, solve your problems and as a group take on the challenges of dancing Tablao style. Dancing in a tablao is the goal of many dancers who study Flamenco, but this type of improvisation and thinking on your feet can be hard to practice. Free-form in style, this class will not feature specific choreography or steps. Rather, bring the steps you have, the patas and the palos and Sonia will guide you through transitions, Ismael will help resolve issues and the both teachers will help dancers find confidence to dance, perform and improvise! This first hour will be devoted to palos and material on the Advanced Beginner Level. If you have specific questions or problems (e.g., how to transition to your subida, which llamada do you use in which lyric), present them to Sonia before class. This is a new class, and Sonia & Ismael will collaborate with the students to create the structure of this class!
